An Unforgettable Maldives Escape
“Hi, Deena! The trip was absolutely incredible, better than we expected! The resort was stunning, reminiscent of our Bora Bora stay, with a private island, expansive beaches, and spacious rooms. We loved the jungle-like middle of the island and enjoyed watching wildlife like sharks and rays from our balcony. The food and drinks were exceptional, especially the smoothies and coconuts, surpassing Bora Bora, and staff were attentive and caring. While we didn’t spot whale sharks, the drone photo shoot was a highlight. Overall, it was the most relaxing and enjoyable trip we’ve had, and we’d definitely recommend the Maldives. Hi Deena! We had an absolutely incredible honeymoon. Everything exceeded our expectations! The hotels you selected were stunning, with exceptional service throughout. Praiano was our favorite, offering breathtaking sunset views and a charming local vibe. In Sorrento, the beach club and delicious meals at the hotel were highlights, and Capri's beautiful room and relaxing spa treatment were perfect. The cheese-making tour in Sorrento was fascinating, and the Cooking Class in Positano with Chef Raffaelle was an exceptional experience. We loved learning and cooking, and the recipe book is a great keepsake. Our Amalfi Coast driver was fantastic, providing insightful tips and taking us to an amazing restaurant in Conca dei Marini. The lemon ravioli were unforgettable! All transfers were seamless, with punctual drivers and comfortable cars. This trip will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for everything. Hi Deena! Our trip to France and Italy was truly exceptional! From the seamless transfers to the stunning accommodations, every detail was perfect. Jean, our driver in Nice, was outstanding, greeting us with water, guiding us through Monaco, and making dinner reservations. Good Morning, Deena! Our trip to Ireland was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, every detail was exceptional. Each hotel had its own charm, and we were thrilled with the green landscapes, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly locals. We were fortunate to have the best weather of the year, which only enhanced our experience. In Dublin, our hotel was ideally located with a fantastic lobby and excellent dining options, including Wilde for breakfast and Balfes for a quick dinner. Our guide Ann and our driver Tony were outstanding, knowledgeable, entertaining, and a joy to be around. Tony’s company during lunches added a special touch to our trip.
The accommodations throughout Ireland were fantastic, even in the two castles, with staff always friendly and welcoming. The highlight was definitely the Presidential Reagan Suite, an incredible experience! Golfing at Ballybunion was a standout recommendation; the Cashen Course with its stunning ocean views was a quintessential links experience. Lahinch and the Cliffs of Moher were also memorable, with great hikes and breathtaking sights. The Aran Islands, despite a weather scare, were spectacular, and the charming tearoom lunch in Ballyvaughn was delightful. Thank you so much for organizing such a fantastic trip. Your personal touch and care were evident in every detail, and the Belleek mugs and special treats were a lovely touch. Watch out! I’m already recommending you to everyone I know!

An Unforgettable European Anniversary - Lake Como to Capri
Dear Deena, First of all, we could not have done this without you. Our European adventure was absolutely unforgettable, thanks to you! From the start, your meticulous planning and attention to detail made everything seamless. Your thoughtful touches, like Prosecco and personal notes, added a special charm to our journey. Every driver and guide you arranged was top-notch, professional, gracious, and knowledgeable. Our first stop for espresso in Milan set the tone. It did not disappoint, nor did the breakfasts.
Lake Como’s stunning hotel and Venetian boat ride left us spellbound. Florence’s walking food tour was a highlight, thanks to our passionate guide, and Montalcino’s Truffle Hunt was an absolute delight, though I did decline the “treat” offered to me by the Truffle Hunter guide, ha ha. The Villa experience (be still my heart) was like living a Downton Abbey fantasy, with exceptional hospitality and breathtaking views.
The wine tour and adventures in Montepulciano and Cortona were fantastic. Despite the initial chaos in Naples, you guided us perfectly to our Capri haven, where the hotel’s service and views were beyond compare. Sorrento’s sailing with Luca, delicious “zucchini pasta,” and the Amalfi coast’s beauty capped off our trip wonderfully. We loved our local dining experiences and cherished every moment with Leo, our Amalfi coast driver. Thank you, Deena, from the bottom of our hearts for creating a trip we’ll treasure forever. East African Honeymoon Safari
Good morning! We wanted to share how amazing our trip was. First and foremost, THANK YOU!!! Everything went seamlessly, and we can’t help but feel incredibly grateful for the perfect arrangements you provided. It was truly a dream come true, and we’re so appreciative of your efforts. We loved staying in multiple parks. Each camp brought something unique, adding variety and excitement to our adventure. The accommodations were all fantastic, but Finch really set a new standard with its exceptional service and food, truly outstanding! Our guides were a huge highlight. As animal enthusiasts who love to explore and ask questions, our guides were perfectly aligned with our interests, enhancing our experience in every way. Traveling during the quieter season was ideal. We enjoyed some camps entirely to ourselves and never had to share a drive with others. It made the experience more intimate and special. Despite being rainy season, the weather didn’t interfere. We only missed one out of 21 drives, and saw an incredible variety of wildlife. From the Big Five to numerous lions, elephants, and cheetahs, we were completely satisfied with our animal sightings. We’ve attached some photos from our unforgettable journey. Similarly, during our fishing trip, when we mentioned feeling a bit queasy, they took us to a beautiful private island for a relaxing break with delicious jumbo shrimp. The highlight of our Ubud stay was cooking with the hotel’s Chef in my Chef's jacket and exploring the kitchen. Meeting the General Manager and the Chef and having this unique culinary experience was simply incredible. Rome to Capri: A Scenic Amalfi Coast Escape
Thank you for organizing such a fantastic trip! We wanted to share some highlights. In Rome, we started with a delightful walk and got lost in the city’s charm. The Rome Highlights tour with Luca was exceptional. He designed the tour to our preferences, maintained a perfect pace, and his extensive knowledge made the experience truly enjoyable. Capri was a dream. We explored the Blue Grotto, took the chair lift to Monte Solaro, and had a great lunch in Anacapri. Wandering the city center, gardens, and indulging in gelato and lemon slush was a highlight. Dinner at Villa Verde was delicious, and the boat tour around Capri offered stunning views. We also enjoyed lunch in Marina Grande and had more gelato before relaxing at the pool and visiting a rocky public beach. Michaele, our guide, was excellent. In Sorrento, the hotel and suite were stunning. The drive along the Amalfi Coast was thrilling. Felice, our driver, expertly navigated the many turns. We stopped in Ravello, Amalfi, and Positano, and enjoyed a fantastic lunch just before a rain shower. Our leisure day was spent exploring town, relaxing at the beach and pool, and savoring another wonderful dinner in Sorrento. We confirmed everything with Maria, who was very helpful. Chile, Argentina, & Patagonia
Our trip to Chile was spectacular and exceeded all our expectations. We’re thrilled with our choice for our honeymoon. Each destination was unforgettable, and we’ll be sharing these stories for years. Patagonia’s stunning scenery was unmatched; we took countless photos while kayaking to a glacier, braving the winds at Torres del Paine, and hiking to the Towers (Jenny’s favorite!). You and the resort staff at our camp were fantastic, handling the passport issue smoothly and ensuring a worry-free stay in our perfectly cozy yurt. Valparaiso’s vibrant vibe, great restaurants, and quirky art shops were equally impressive. We’ve become seafood snobs after enjoying fresh, delicious fish throughout Chile. The Matetic Winery tour was a standout, with beautiful scenery and excellent wine. Too bad we could only bring back five bottles. The Atacama Desert was unique and Tierra Atacama offered stunning mountain views and great service. The desert’s beauty, from the Moon and Rainbow Valleys to the Salt Flats, flamingos, and geysers were worth every moment. The sunrise geyser excursion and stargazing were particularly memorable. The food was fantastic, fresh bread and butter every meal, and excellent Pisco Sours. Our guides were friendly, helpful, and warmly hospitable. Thank you for planning this incredible trip. A Blissful Thailand Wedding and Honeymoon
Our trip was nothing short of amazing! Chiang Mai was a highlight, with memorable visits to the Elephant Nature Park and a fantastic Thai Farm Cooking class, which we loved. We enjoyed the interaction at Patara as well. The photos they provided will be a cherished reminder of our time. Doi Inthanon and the temples added wonderful cultural touches, and Le Meridien was beautiful and well-located, though I was surprised by how large the city was compared to my expectations of a more rural setting.
Bangkok was vibrant. We visited Wat Poh and while we skipped the Grand Palace due to the heat and crowds, our dinner at Banyan Tree was amazing, surpassing our experience at Lebua with its better ambiance.
Koh Samui was paradise! We really loved it and were so happy to get to the beach. Anantara was stunning, and we adored the charming night market. Khao Lak was a serene escape, and The Sarojin was a highlight with its tranquil atmosphere. The wedding, waterfall dinner, and our pool villa exceeded all expectations. It was unreal. And the snorkel trip to Surin Islands was fabulous.
Krabi was a fantastic finale, with Rayavadee and the playful monkeys being a delight. Our private boat trip to Phi Phi, Maya Bay, and Bamboo Island was unforgettable, especially with the champagne sunset on Bamboo Island. All transfers went smoothly, and we appreciated the warm and respectful Thai people, always so sweet and soft spoken. We’re thrilled we chose this route for our wedding and honeymoon. Love and Luxury in Bora Bora: Our Perfect Honeymoon Escape
Brad and I wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks for planning such a magical honeymoon to Bora Bora. This trip truly surpassed all our expectations. It's hard to imagine any beach or experience ever topping this! Our overwater bungalow offered spectacular unobstructed views of the mountain, and the tranquility of the shallow, crystal-clear water allowed us to relax and unwind on day one, all while enjoying the breathtaking backdrop. Snorkeling with blacktip sharks, stingrays, and manta rays was exhilarating. Despite initial nerves, the guides, especially "Crazy", were hysterical and made us feel safe. The views on our wave runner were stunning with seven shades of blue, gorgeous mountains, and hidden coves. The genuine friendliness and charm of the locals made our stay more special. Their hospitality, thoughtful gifts and smiles, made us feel like part of their family. Bora Bora has truly captured our hearts, and I’ve dreamt about it every night since our return. Hi Deena! We’ve returned home safe and sound, and we’re still marveling at how wonderful our trip was! It’s been hard to talk about anything else. The sights, sounds, and tastes of Budapest, Vienna, and Prague were unforgettable. We can't thank you enough for making this experience so memorable. In Budapest, we enjoyed breathtaking views from the rooftop bar at the Aria Hotel, explored the unique ruin bars, and hiked up Gellért Hill for stunning city vistas. Vienna captivated us with its rich cultural offerings. We visited the Freud Museum, toured Schönnbrunn Palace, dined at the world-renowned Steirereck, and enjoyed delightful local wines at a Heurigen in the surrounding hills. In Prague, we explored the charming grounds around the Aria Hotel, took in the city's historical landmarks, and savored a fantastic dinner at Field restaurant.

From the pool and beach to the rooms, restaurants, spa, and sports facilities, everything was impeccably done. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The entertainment was fantastic. Whether participating in activities like pool Zumba, aerobics, and dance contests or enjoying live bands, we had a blast. The range of activities, beach volleyball, water sports, and even sushi-making classes, was impressive, the all-inclusive service outstanding. The poolside drink service was tireless and efficient, and the daily specials and snacks were a delightful treat. We particularly enjoyed the Preferred Club, which offered a nice respite with fresh nuts, fruit, sushi, and specialty drinks. Relaxing in the semi-private patio area before dinner was lovely. Gelato, Leather, and La Dolce Vita: A Mother-Daughter Italian Adventure!
Italy is a treat for the eyes, stomach, and soul. The country’s beauty and unique cities offered a refreshing change from the States, which is just plain FUN. We didn’t chase every tourist attraction and didn't feel that we needed to. We explored, got lost, ate when we wanted, rested in the afternoons and soaked up the experience. We thoroughly enjoyed all three of our cooking classes and highly recommend them. We found beautiful leather gloves at Madova, on the far side of the Ponte Vecchio. We also found lovely leather jackets in Piazza Santa Croce. In Venice, we ate twice at both Osteria San Marco and Marciano Ristorante, and had delicious pasta and Osso Bucco. The first thing we tell our friends and family about our trip? That it was amazing, that Deena Gainor did our travel plans and if you go, you should have her plan for you!! Really, that is what I say! Then I tell them how delicious the food was and how much Caitlin and I loved everything we did. Do I sound like a broken record? Would I recommend Global Getaways to others? YES, YES, YES, I already have.

Ancient Greece, Mykonos, & Santorini: Our Anniversary Escape

Diana and Joanna were incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, particularly during our visits to ancient Corinth and Delos. All transfers were on time and clearly marked, which took a huge amount of stress out of the trip. We didn’t have to worry about getting to and from airports or docks. The hotels you selected were perfect. We wouldn’t change a thing. The accommodations in Crete and Santorini were ideal, in a great location to explore but away from the hustle and bustle. The hospitality was outstanding. John, the manager in Oia, was particularly helpful, making our stay at the boutique hotel a memorable one with his friendly attitude and attentive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset dinner cruise, which we’d highly recommend to future travelers. The catamaran crew made it an unforgettable experience. Our Mykonos hotel also impressed us with its wonderful staff and exceptional food. The private deck with lounge furniture provided a nice extra space. We packed our days with adventure, renting scooters in Athens and Crete to explore beyond our hotel areas. Our drive through Crete, including a visit to Chania and the charming town of Kritsa, gave us a wonderful glimpse into the island’s diverse landscapes. Crete was definitely a highlight, offering so much to see and do. We also rented a car in Mykonos to further explore the island.
Visiting the Acropolis was a dream come true, and standing on Mars Hill, where the Apostle Paul engaged with Greek philosophers, was truly surreal. Ancient Corinth was similarly awe-inspiring. We’d love to return to see the Epidaurus theatre in Peloponnese, which we didn’t visit this time but have added to our list for next time.To sum it up: Everything was PHENOMENAL! Romantic Escapade: A Honeymoon Through Spain and Portugal
We had a truly wonderful trip and are incredibly grateful for all the conveniences Deena provided. We loved the beginner scuba activity, which has inspired us to get certified! Exploring the ocean floor and encountering colorful sea life with our hilarious instructor was a highlight. The Shark and Ray tour was also a standout, offering a fantastic chance to snorkel and see these majestic creatures up close—definitely not to be missed! We also enjoyed relaxing on our patio, biking, paddle boarding, exploring the main island, and snorkeling independently. The spa was another highlight, providing an ultra-relaxing experience.

Our recent river cruise was nothing short of a dream vacation! Cruising down the Rhine, surrounded by castles and medieval towns, while indulging in gourmet local cuisine, was an experience beyond our wildest dreams. The Belgium waffles and chocolate were the perfect sweet finale. Deena, you did an marvelous job putting together all of the details to make this trip unforgettable. The river cruise you recommended was outstanding, and now the only way we will go! The staff was efficient, the food creative. We loved our spacious stateroom with its French balcony and the shore excursions. Sailing the Rhine and cruising by the castles while our guide shared their history, was a highlight. The hotels you selected played a big part on the romantic side of being in Europe. Our Basel Hotel, breathtaking with its stunning Rhine view and exquisite dining. Made us feel like royalty. The tulip fields were blooming and vibrant - and we loved our guide! Brugge was like traveling into the past, with its aristocratic ambiance and delightful chocolatiers. Staying in such an elegant hotel, with a view of the canal and exceptional breakfast, added to the charm. Exploring Brugge’s pedestrian streets and visiting Michelangelo’s Madonna and Child was special, a breathtaking moment. Discovering Salzburg and Vienna - A Girls’ Getaway Across Austria
Deena, Salzburg…Amazing! We loved our Sound of Music private tour. Werner was a wonderful guide and we loved all the sights!!! Enjoyed how it took us to the Lakes region. Our afternoon walking guide, Monica, was fantastic!! We so enjoyed her and ate up all 4 hours with her!!! Probably my favorite thing we did on the whole trip. We went up the inside of the rock elevator to the Modern Museum and traversed up above the city, wound back down, strolled some more than up the funicular to the fortress, etc etc. Weather perfection.
Tomaselii Cafe stop with her. A guide is so wonderful to get your bearings and some tips on what to do and where to eat. Her restaurant advice was a highlight as well. The Junior Suite at the hotel in Salzburg was exquisite!! The view, the balcony, the room, the bathroom. Amazing! The Vienna hotel was fabulous also!! Loved our palatial room with the high ceilings and 6 crystal chandeliers!!! We enjoyed the cafe for breakfast as well as one quick dinner. All transfers were wonderful. The guide between Salzburg and Vienna was great and showed us quite a few places along the Danube and a super lunch spot.
We had a wonderful day tour with Daniela in Vienna in the morning which gave us the lay of the land and some confidence to roam around. Our Schönnbrunn Palace tour with Thomas was very helpful. Thomas did a great job!!! Once inside he was the only one talking as every other human had on a headset and was listening to a guide. Both hotels had superb front desk workers and concierges who were so friendly and not at all stuffy. English spoken well by most people everywhere when needed. I took German in high school so I absolutely loved knowing what things meant that were in German! Not sure where we will want to go next? We are so happy with all your work on our behalf. Of course we will be calling you! Thanks again for such a great trip.

"Danube River Cruise: From Budapest to Prague"
As a rookie to travel in Europe, we had many reservations about taking on such an extensive trip on our own. So, I want to say that working with Deena was the best decision we made about the entire trip, with her support and superior knowledge in all the aspects of traveling overseas. It made our trip both fulfilling and stress free. Tuscany to Santorini - A Honeymoon Beyond Dreams
We’re here and completely in love and enchanted by our trip! Tuscany was a dream come true. Thank you for the wonderful wine! Our driver was so friendly and we felt completely welcomed by him. And our Guardian Angel was quick to help when needed. Our villa was stunning, a perfect blend of relaxation and beauty, exactly what we wanted from Tuscany. The restaurant’s gluten-free options were fantastic, and the views were out of this world. We loved exploring the Tuscan countryside with Paulo, who made our wine-tasting tour unforgettable with his engaging stories and expert insights. The Truffle Hunt was one of our favorite experiences, watching the truffle dogs in action, learning about truffles, and enjoying a delicious meal at a charming family farm was quaint perfection. Rome was delightful with its classic hotel away from all the crowds, and the early entrance Vatican tour with Davide was absolutely phenomenal. He tailored the tour to our interests, and the blessing from a Vatican priest in the Sistine Chapel was an incredible highlight. The Amalfi Coast and Sorrento were breathtaking. Our hotel was perfect, with fantastic service and a stunning view. We loved lounging by the warm pool and soaking in the amazing Amalfi tour views. Santorini was stunning. Our hotel had breathtaking views, and the sunset dinner cruise was a spectacular and relaxing experience. Every detail of this trip was perfectly executed, and your personal touch made it truly exceptional. We can’t wait to plan our next adventure with you! Thank you again!

Kenya Wildlife Safari & Seychelles Honeymoon
We just had to let you know how absolutely AMAZING our trip was. Everything you planned was flawless and made our experience unforgettable. Having someone meet us at each location allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our adventure without any stress. Our first camp was a highlight—beautiful tents, charming details like rabbit-covered water jugs, and an incredible organic farm. The warmth of the staff, including Sue, Willy, Alice, Mats, and India, made us feel at home. A special shoutout to our guide, Legei, who became a friend and made every day delightful with his knowledge and humor. It was tough saying goodbye to him! Highlights from Lewa included discovering a rhino horn lost during a battle, witnessing a lioness’s dramatic escape into a tree, and seeing cheetah brothers hunt. We also hiked to stunning waterfalls in Ngare Ndare, swam in one, and had fun with the locals. Watching cheeky monkeys trying to steal cookies from our tent was a delightful morning surprise.
Moving on to Masai Mara, the experience was equally remarkable. The camp felt like a five-star hotel with outstanding staff and facilities. Our guide, Benson, was excellent, sharing fascinating insights about the land and its people. Highlights included an exhilarating balloon ride with a sunrise breakfast, incredible game viewing, and witnessing a crocodile take a baby wildebeest. We saw an amazing variety of wildlife and enjoyed luxurious meals prepared by Big John. Our village visit was a fun cultural immersion—Patrick’s jumping contest and my dance with the women were memorable. We maximized our safari days, and the private tour was definitely the right choice.
Finally, the Seychelles was a paradise of relaxation. The Four Seasons villa was beyond words, and we spent most of our time unwinding and enjoying room service. A day trip for snorkeling and island hopping was a nice addition, but mostly, we basked in the tranquility of our villa.
We’re so grateful for everything you did. If you plan trips beyond Africa, we’d love to work with you again. We’ll definitely recommend you to anyone looking to travel to Africa.
