Travel Design Fee

2. Travel Design Fee: Upon receiving and reviewing your request, we will respond quickly and let you know if we feel we are the best fit for you. At this point, a non-refundable Travel Design Fee is requested via Venmo as follows:
Trip planning frequently includes multiple destinations, detailed daily itineraries, and complex schedules. To cover our time and expenses for these intensive itineraries, we require a non-refundable Travel Design Fee of $250 per person (minimum $500). The fee covers consultation and itinerary planning for one complete itinerary, which must be booked within one month due to rapid changes in pricing and availability. Changes to destinations will incur an additional Travel Design Fee of $250 per person to create a new itinerary.
Families: The consultation fee is $250 per person. At our discretion, a portion of this fee may be applied towards the booking.
Groups: For 10 or more, the consultation fee is $100 per person, non-refundable, non-transferable.
Rush Bookings: Many destinations require a minimum of 6 months for thorough planning. If your booking falls within 6 months of departure, an additional fee may be assessed based on current demand and availability. This will be clearly discussed with you before proceeding. If we don't think we can do a world class job for you, we'll do our best to refer you to a trusted colleague.
Trip Planner
Once you’ve sent in your Travel Design Fee, you will receive a Google Form to capture important information needed to move forward along with our Trip Planner. We’ll ask detailed questions in order to customize your vacation to fit your specific needs and desires. We’re not simply "order takers" but rather are partnering with you as Consultants. Our job is to marry our expertise with your requests, making sure we create the experience you are searching for. Fine-tuning isn’t only allowed but encouraged. The more we know about what’s important to you, the better job we can do in crafting our itineraries. Our process is very collaborative.
Our trip planner gives you the freedom to describe your dream trip while giving us all the information we need to make that dream a reality. You're dealing with consultants who have over two decades of experience creating honeymoons, anniversary trips, and many other adventures.
Please Note: Global Getaways does not directly book or issue flights to/from your destination unless already included in your package. For instance, most of our resort and all-inclusive packages to Mexico or the Caribbean may already include flights, but other regions like Europe, Asia, South America, Australia, New Zealand, and Africa do not. Our expertise is in creating memorable itineraries that are personally customized; however, we’re happy to advise you on the best routes. We believe it's important our clients maintain full control over their flight arrangements. If you require assistance with air, please let us know.

2. Review Tentative Itinerary: Within a few days, you'll see your request being crafted together as you review your initial trip proposal. Not perfect? We will continue to collaborate with you on every detail until you love what we have presented. 3. Deposit & Final Payment: Once you've chosen your perfect itinerary, you'll be given deposit and final payment information.
*Please remember that the Travel Design fee is a separate charge and non-refundable.
4. Documents: You will receive final documents within 1-2 weeks of travel. Depending on the type of vacation we’ve created for you, your documents may be either electronic or paper documents with vouchers.
5. E-Docs: Global Getaways will create an electronic itinerary via an APP that can be viewed via mobile phone, email, and a downloadable and printable PDF, so your journey is always accessible, even while traveling. Your E-doc will display important information including: Your full itinerary, resort and flights, a daily schedule, important phone numbers and emergency contacts, numerous photos, and many additional resources and links, including travel tips, packing suggestions, safety guidelines, activity and spa menus, destination information, etc.
Cancel Policy and Insurance Information
Cancel Policy: Deposits and International air are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
Travel Design Fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancelations received between booking and 121 days prior to travel will be subject to 30% tour cost
Cancelations received 120-91 days prior will be subject to 50% tour cost
Cancelations received 90-0 days prior will result in forfeiture of entire tour price. Please rest assured we always advocate on your behalf and make every effort to recover any portions of your payment that may be refundable.

Travel Insurance: We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance. On occasion, unexpected events or accidents can leave you with cancelled plans and significant expenses. Travel Insurance can help cover you, your belongings, and your travel investment against unwelcome surprises. Global Getaways is an authorized retailer of travel insurance products offered by Travel Insured Insurance. We will be able to provide you with a custom quote upon request.
