Day 1  Delhi: Arrive into Delhi, where a Global Getaways representative will meet & greet you with a private transfer to your luxury hotel for the next two days.  The balance of day is spent at your leisure, exploring the city.

Day 2  Delhi: This morning, meet with your private driver and guide to experience the delightful chaos of this beautiful city. Explore the contrasts of both Old and New Delhi as you visit mosques, monuments, and old forts. Enjoy an exciting cycle rickshaw ride through narrow lanes followed by a walk on the main street of Old Delhi and through the ancient colorful bazaar known as Chandni Chowk. Expose your senses to the enticing colors and exotic scents of cardamom and allspice, and watch local men sip their tea at deliciously fragrant chai stands. A walk through Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market, provides unforgettable memories. After lunch, encounter Humayun’s Tomb, an architectural precursor to the Taj Mahal. Return to your hotel.

Day 3 Delhi: Today is a full day of leisure to explore all that Delhi has to offer at your own pace. After breakfast, you may return to the market or visit additional city highlights. You may also consider doing a Street Food Walking Tour, sampling popular local cuisine as you stroll through bustling streets on foot or via rickshaw.

Day 4 Delhi to Agra: Journey overland approximately three hours to Agra and check in to your hotel. The first site to greet you on your tour of Agra is the great Agra Fort. There is no denying that the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is one of the main reasons people visit Agra. However, it’s well worth lingering to explore the city’s magnificent fort that lies just to the west - a beautiful fort palace, richly embellished with marble and mosaic. This evening, at sunset, visit Agra’s greatest treasure, the incomparable Taj Mahal, to watch the fading light bathe it in a warm orange glow. Visiting the Taj Mahal at sunset is a truly magical experience, as the light plays on the marble of the tomb and its reflection shimmers in the water.

Day 5  Agra to Ranthambore: Wake early (optional) and visit the Taj Mahal again, to see how the rising sun lends a warm tint to its marble face. Return to your hotel for breakfast before continuing overland to Bharatpur. After lunch, transfer to Bharatpur Railway station for an express train ride to Ranthambore National Park, your home for the next two nights. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drive in an exclusive Jeep, accompanied by an experienced naturalist who will explain and point out interesting flora and fauna.

Days 6  Ranthambore: After breakfast, set off on an early morning game drive through Ranthambore National Park. Enjoy game drives through the rugged terrain which is home to a lot of wildlife, including the elusive Bengal tiger. Your game drives are early in the morning and then early evening, when temperatures are at their coolest, and animals at their most active.

Day 7  Ranthambore to Jaipur: Enjoy your final game drive in the park this morning before a leisurely breakfast back at your hotel. After breakfast drive to the Pink City of Jaipur. This will take around four hours - stopping en route for lunch at a local restaurant, with the opportunity to explore the surrounding village by camel cart. Continue to Rajasthan’s capital of Jaipur and check in to your hotel. Time permitting, you may begin exploring. Starting in front of the iconic Palace of the Winds, set out on foot with your private guide and spend a colorful evening walking through the city’s bazaars, mingling and chatting with store vendors and locals alike, and sampling some of the region’s notable culinary favorites. Taste pakoras, aloo tiki, samosas and ladoo from a selection of the city’s most popular street food vendors that have been carefully vetted for quality and hygiene standards. Stroll along and poke your head into local artisans’ workshops to observe the painstakingly careful craftsmanship of jewelers and silversmiths, gold painters and tie-dying experts. At the end the 2.5-hour walk through the bazaars, return to your hotel by private vehicle.

Day 8  Jaipur: Following breakfast, spend the day exploring some of Jaipur’s most iconic monuments with your private driver and guide. Begin the day with a visit to the magnificent hilltop Amber Fort, surrounded by fortified battlements and overlooking the Maotha Lake. Once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. Most fascinating, perhaps, is the Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) where a single lamplight is reflected in the numerous mirrors, lighting up the entire room. Continue to the Palace of the Winds. The monument is adorned in an ornate pale pink facade with a tiered baroque-like build. The original design was intended to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life and public festivals in the streets below without being seen. Next, visit an observatory built in the 18th century. This World Heritage Site is home to the world’s largest sundial. From here, continue to the breathtaking 18th century Royal City Palace and wander through the sprawling complex. After lunch, you may choose to visit a colorful local market with your guide, or spend time exploring the city on your own. End your day with a private transfer back to your hotel.

Day 9 Jaipur to Delhi - After breakfast, set off on a morning sightseeing tour of Jaipur’s Old City (Pink City). See the walled City Palace, complete with courtyards and gardens. Next door, explore the Jantar Mantar, an observatory with fascinating 18th-century instruments, which locates the position of the North Star and Zodiac signs. Finish with a stop at the pink-sandstone Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds. Jaipur’s most famous building, this five-story palace was built in 1799 for the ladies of his royal harem. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and fly to Delhi, where you check in to your hotel.
