By supporting Global Getaways, a percentage of the money you spend - and the commission we earn - is donated to various organizations and/or individuals as needs arise.  Some recipients are private but you will find additional information about the others below.  If you'd like to contribute additional donations to any of these organizations, please do so directly.

Proverbs 31:8-9 "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.  Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

TLC Network

We met Lorna & Marty in South Africa during our RTW journey and fell in love with their hearts and the ministry they do in and around the Cape Town area schools and slums.  The Teach Love Care Network is completely run by volunteers and operates on donations. They serve as a link, support system, and an avenue for donors and sponsors, providing hands-on involvement in communities affected by poverty that lack access to resources.  More importantly, they love the people they serve!

ZOE and Child Trafficking

ZOE fights for the rights of children who have nobody else to fight for them. The children come from a range of backgrounds. Some are orphaned, some on the market to be sold, and some who've been subject to heinous crimes and abuse. ZOE has rescued children used as labor slaves, begging slaves, and sex slaves.  They seek to reach every person with God's love, allowing Him to transform their past into beautiful futures. (Images are not trafficked victims, nor were these photos taken at ZOE),

Compassion International

Compassion, meaning “to suffer with”, is a response of sympathy, but it’s not just a feeling. It is combined with a desire to help. Because we have compassion, we want to take action and help those who are suffering.  Compassion International is a child-advocacy ministry that pairs compassionate people with those suffering from poverty. The ministry releases children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty. The goal is for each child to become a responsible and fulfilled adult.
